At Hartland Service, our story has always been about more than cars, it’s about family, legacy, and passion. One of the most beloved and essential parts of that story was Jeffrey J. Kusch, whose sudden passing in 2021 left a hole not just in our shop, but in the heart of our entire community.

A Fourth-Generation Craftsman with a Classic Car Soul

Jeff was the proud fourth generation of the Kusch family to dedicate his life to Hartland Service. His knowledge of all vehicles, particularly classic cars, was unmatched. He brought a rare mix of skill, patience, and pride to everything he touched, always treating every restoration with the care it deserved and every customer like part of the family.

Rooted in the Community He Loved

A graduate of Arrowhead High School and lifelong resident of the Lake Country area, Jeff was known for his sharp wit, easygoing nature, and deep loyalty. Whether he was turning wrenches, talking shop at a car show, or enjoying time on the water fishing and snowmobiling, Jeff lived fully and gave fully.

His Legacy Drives Us Forward

Jeff wasn’t just part of the business, he was the soul of it. His passion and values continue to guide our work every day. His love for precision, his respect for history, and his belief in doing things the right way are present in every repair and every restoration.

Although Hartland Service has returned to being a three-generation family business, Jeff’s memory remains very much alive in the care we provide and the pride we take in every vehicle that enters our garage.
